D hit his head and got a concussion....and had some memory loss. We had to go get a CT scan!

T- That was the WORST pain I've ever felt! I thought I was gonna pass out! (after getting a cortisone shot in his spine)

H (saying her prayers)- Please bless H's & G's & Mom's & Dad's and Snippy's (her beanie baby cat) eyes to be green.

G- MOM!! You have a Tinkerbell shirt on! Did Grammy make it for you?!?!

K- Dad, are you gonna have surgery at the same time as me?
T- MAybe, If we do, maybe they'll let us share a room?!?!
K- Cool! As long as I get to choose what we watch on TV!!

K- I REALLY wanna have my surgery this week so you can push me in my wheelchair for the big walk!!!!

We made her a cute dress up hanger for her b-day. It said Princess Mc's Royal Gowns, and had knobs to hang her dresses on. It was a huge hit, and I several requests for Christmas! :D

H- Mom, here are my Dolly Pocket Pockets..I'm gonna go see if Tn will play with me!

Tn is our friends' 11 year old boy. And YES he did play with her. What a nice kid! :D

G- PRESCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!! Can I bring my DeePee?

(DeePee is what G named her little stuffed bear...who knows!?!)

H- Mom can we walk at the store (instead of riding in the cart)?
G- Yeah Mom!!!

Today was the big day!

As we pulled up to preschool (it is a co-op where we moms take turns teaching it at our homes so today it was at their friend V's house.):
H- Mom... (sounding a little worried) This doesn't really look like preschool.....

G- MOM!!! M has two white teeth! Just like I have white teeth!

H (in her prayer @ bed time)- Please bless Daddy and Aunt T that their backs will feel better so they can play with me.

K-Mom, what is the big deal about Patriot Day?
Me- It is to help us remember a day 9 years ago when some really bad men hurt and killed a lot of people in our country.
K- So was it before I was born.
Me- Yes, I was pregnant with you. I remember almost everything about that day. It was pretty scary.
K- Do you think it will happen again.
Me- I hope not. But that is why we try to remember it. To honor those who died and to try to not let it happen again.
K- OK, I'll remember too so I can help not let it happen.

Daddy Daughter Dance

K-Mom, how long till Dad  gets home?!?!
Me- About an hour and a half.
K- Can I go get dressed yet?
Me- Not yet, but you can take a shower.

K-Mom, how long till Dad gets home?!?
Me- About an hour.
K- Can I go get dressed yet?
Me- Not yet, but we can paint your nails.

K-Mom, how long till Dad gets home?!?
Me- About 45 minutes.
K- Can I go get dressed yet?
Me- Not yet, but we can curl your hair.

Me- About half an hour.
K- Can I go get dressed yet?

K- YESSS!!!! Thanks Mom! Can you help me pick out some jewelry?!?!
Me- Sure Sweetie.

K- Is Dad home yet?!?!
Me- Not yet, in another 10 minutes.....

I went to a card swap with some friends that was hosted by D's teacher from last year. She is a nice lady, and D absolutely LOVED her class.

Me- I'm going to Mrs. W's house for my card swap tonight D.
D- Cool!! If M starts to cry, I'm sure Mrs. W will hold her for you. She's nice like that.

As M & I were leaving...
Mrs. W- I sure miss D in my class. He is such a sweet boy.
Me- He is!!
Mrs. W- He comes up to me every afternoon and gives me a hug on his way home. He is so patient. He waits for all my new 1st graders to be done, then he says 'Hi Mrs. W' and gives me a hug. It makes my day!

Me- K can you please feed the dog and start a load of laundry (both on her chore chart for today)
K- MOM!!! Do I have to do my chores while I have a friend over?!?!
Me- No, certainly not.
K- Oh Good!!
Me- You are welcome to send your friend home so that you can get your chores done.
K- What!?!? NO!!!!
Me- Let's ask your friend....R would you like to go home so K can do her chores, or do you think she should do them while you are here?
R- K Go do your chores!!!!!!!

Me-Ohhh!!! No wonder she's so cranky! There is a tooth in there! Ouch!

T- I just took some major pain meds....I might get a little loopy.

We were in the suburban and she was all the way in the back so I don't think she could really hear me very well at first.

K- Mom is Hong Kong real?
Me- Yes, its part of China

K- Mom, is Hong Kong real?!?!
Me- YES! It is part of China.

......Almost yelling over the twins & M......

K- No Mom, I mean the big monkey Hong Kong....is it real?
Me- OH...You mean KING Kong. No he's not real.
K- Oh good. He's kinda scary.

After feeding M some rice cereal.
H- Mommy, why are you washing my baby sister's sweet face?

The kids walked home from school today.
D- Mom, did you hear that a wild dog came after us? It wasn't domesticated.

H- What are you making?
Me- Zuchini bread.
H- Hmmm....I never tasted that. Is it kee-kee or kooo-see?

I have no idea what either of those things mean, but she liked the zuchini bread...

G- Can I go to preschool now?

H- Hooray G! We get to go to preschool now!

G- Mom, can you get your shoes on, it's time to take H & me to preschool!

G-YEAH!! See we have our backpacks all ready to go!

Preschool doesn't start for 2 week...its gonna be a LONG couple week!!
