K-Mom, what is the big deal about Patriot Day?
Me- It is to help us remember a day 9 years ago when some really bad men hurt and killed a lot of people in our country.
K- So was it before I was born.
Me- Yes, I was pregnant with you. I remember almost everything about that day. It was pretty scary.
K- Do you think it will happen again.
Me- I hope not. But that is why we try to remember it. To honor those who died and to try to not let it happen again.
K- OK, I'll remember too so I can help not let it happen.
