We took Grammy out to brunch for her birthday today. This was after we were done eating.
H- Grammy, when are we gonna have your birthday?
Grammy- Today is my birthday.
H- No, when are we gonna EAT your birthday?
Grammy- .....A birthday is a day, not something to eat....
H- When are we gonna eat your birthday?
Me- They think birthday cake is a 'birthday'. Not sure why.
Grammy- Oh, well then H, we will eat my birthday on Monday at aunt T's house. And we'll have a birthday for aunt C as well.

We went to Planet Kid (an indoor play/climbing center- think McD's playland x10) with my mom today H&G are still a little to short for parts of it. H got stuck.
H- A little help here Mom....

D- I sure love my Grammy. Remember when I used to call her Hammy? Yeah, that was pretty funny! 

We stopped at McD's to get $1 sodas as a treat to share on our way to the store (so they don't ask for so much when we get there).
K-Can I get a hot fudge sundae?
Me- No.
K-How about a hot fudge milkshake?
Me- No.
K- Can I get chocolate milk?
Me-No.
K- What can I get?
Me- A S-O-D-A!!!!
K- WHY?!?
Me-Because they are a dollar, all those other things are more than a dollar.
K- That S-U-C-K-S!!!!
Me- Sorry Toots!

G (to me)- When H and me were in your tummy together we squished each other!!!

At swimming lessons this afternoon.

G- Look Mom! I put my head in the water!!!

Me- Great job!

Me- H can you put your face in the water?

H (sitting on the 1st step with just her feet in the water)- No I'm just fine!

Me- What did you learn at church today?
G- We did ballet, and went Ya!!!, and I did my arm up like this (with her arm straight up in the air, hand in a fist)!!
Me- Okaaaaaay......

Home Teacher (to the kids)- Can you  think of a way that you can show you are friends with Jesus?

H- I like ballet!!!!!

Me- I need to sign 4 kids up for swimming lessons.

Guy at the pool- OK. That will be $160.

Me (gagging back vomit as I hand him a check)- OK here you go.

K-Mom why can't I come to the movies with you tonight?
Me- Because it is for grown-ups (we were going to see Eclipse).
K- But it is just the girls in the family going, and I'm a girl.
Me- Sorry Sweets...It is just the Moms going.
K-But M isn't a mom and she gets to go!
Me- I know, but...... (at this point I couldn't think of anymore arguments).....you can't go, and thats final!


**BTW- M was GREAT at the movies! She snuggled with her aunties and Grammy until she got hungry, then she ate and snoozed the rest of the movie. Hooray!**

A man that we go to church with is dying of liver failure. He is 24 years old, and the Dr's don't know why his liver is failing. Some of his friends and family held a car wash today to raise money for Dr and hospital bills. We went down and got the suburban washed and donated as much as we possibly could.

K as we were getting ready to go- Mom, can I bring my bike and have them wash it?
Me- No sweetie, we can wash your bike when we get home.
K (pretty sad)- Oh.... (starting to cry)
Me- What is wrong honey?
K- I wanted to have them wash my bike so I could donate some of my money too.
Me- OH! (WOW!!!) Well, I think your new bike is too big to take, but we can take your old small bike. How much money do you want to donate?
K- Well, I was thinking like $10.
Me- (WOW AGAIN!!!!) Well I think that would be very nice.
K- Thanks Mom! I really want to help them.
Me- That is VERY kind of you! I'm very proud of you!

We went to one of my friend really good friend's houses today. And as always when we get together, it ended up being about 7 hours. Her L is almost 5, A will be 3 this fall and B is 9 months. L and D get along great and had a blast playing in the pool and on the Wii. A took quite a while to warm up to us (she's pretty shy), but once she did the 3 little girls had a lot of fun! G and A were playing with some toy handcuffs. One would put them on the other then they would run into the room where us moms were visiting and ask for help. At one point G had handcuffed A and they ran in yelling and laughing:

G-I stucked her up!!!!

I took K to a Dr appt this morning and then out to lunch. Then I surprised her by taking her to get her ears pierced. She was so excited. Afterward she thanked me about 20 times. This was my favorite:
K- Mom I can never thank you enough for letting me get my ears pierced. It is the coolest thing that has ever happened to me in my LIFE!

D- That was the best party ever!!! Thanks Mom & Dad!

T bought dry ice to go in the 'potions' for D's Harry Potter party with his friends. It was pretty cool!  :D

D- Mom That is the Coolest Cake ever!!!!!!!

I made D a golden snitch cake (from Harry Potter) and it was the easiest cake I have ever made!!! Glad he liked it!

H- There is something in my ear.
T- Is it your finger?
H- No Dad! There is something yucky in my ear.
T-I think its your finger.
H- NO DAD! There is something in there. It is something CRAZY!

H- Ewww look! Ear boogers!

I turned on some music to get myself motivated to get some stuff done today. It was an up-beat song so I was dancing around the kitchen while I put dishes away. H comes in and watches me for a minute and then says:
H-Mom, it goes like this!
She then proceeds to show me how to dance! I grabbed the camera and got it on video.

G had to show off her moves too!!

Sweet Husband

M went to bed at 10:30, then got up at 11:45, 12:45, 2:30, and 3:45

5:30 AM
M-Grrr Aaahh Uughhh MaaaaWaaaaaaaaaa
T got up and went into the bathroom.
Me thinking 'Oh no- now he's gonna be cranky that she's keeping him awake 'cause he has class and work today' So I get up to feed and quiet her.
T comes out of the bathroom and comes over and holds his hands out for me to hand M to him. (I'm pretty sure he couldn't see that I was feeding her since he is blind without his contacts)
Me giving him a very confused look.
T- I was gonna take her for you.
Me- Oh....I was just gonna feed her and put her back to bed.
T- Oh...alright. (gets back in bed)


10 minutes later
 I put M back in bed

2 minutes later
M- Aaahh Uughhh Grrr MaaaaWaaaaaaaaaa
T getting up again
Me-I got it
T-Haven't you been up with her all night?
Me- Yeah, so what?
T-Well I'll just take her downstairs.
Me- Um...thanks, but I don't have anything going on today....you do.
T- Are you sure?
Me- Yup! Go back to sleep.

M- Waaaaaaa!!
Me- See you in a few hours.

Cousin Fun!

Today cousin Kg (6) and Mc (almost 5) are over to play while Aunt A is at a training.

D & Kg were playing a video game...
Kg- Why do I have to be the girl?!?!

Playing in the sandbox...
G- Mc don't you take that yelloworange bucket away from my sister!! You be nice to H!!!!

H- No Mc, that is not Bodie! That is Tash-Tash!! (Mc was calling our dog Bodie- which is Aunt T's dog's name)

T-WHO BROKE THE TREE?!?!

Dead silence! 

No one fessed up. They broke our little tree off right below all of the foliage. T had to just break it off at the ground and will have to dig it up later.


Later after the twins were in their room playing we heard this:
G- Now the poor tree is dead. Dead forever.
H- Yeah, too bad you killed it!

Pick on Mom day?

G- K, why are you sitting in my booster seat?
K- 'Cause I can.
G- No! Your bum is too big!
K-No its not. It is not nearly as big as Mommy's.


H- Mom, what is wrong with your face?

G- MOM!! I'm done. Mommmmmmyyyyy-I'm Done!!!
Me- Ok I'm coming.
G- Mommy- I went stinky.
Me- OK I'm coming (as I walk into the bathroom).
G- I went big stinky. Two of them. Just for you.
Me- For me? (thinking eeewww gross, why for me?!?)
G- Yeah- a surprise just for you.
Me- OK......put your panties and skirt back on please.
G- I can't mom, they are wet.
Me- I am so surprised. (muttered under my breath- or so I thought)
G- See- a surprise just for you!
Me- OH! Thanks. Please go get some dry panties.
G- No problem Mommy!

I must say 'I'm so surprised' often when she has accidents....

Aunt T came and picked up E (6), and dropped off D (he stayed there with Cousin L (5) last night) while H&G were sleeping this afternoon. When G got up this is what was heard:
G- D!!! You are back!!! I missed you D!!!
D- Oh I missed you too G!!
(giving big hugs & kisses)

G- Mom where's cousin E? (repeated about every 5 minutes- cousin E was staying the night with K, and G just couldn't get enough of her!)

Me- Why is the ice cream truck playing 'Here comes Santa Clause'?
M- Gooooo

Yes, I was talking to myself out loud. But really- Why? And even more puzzling, why 'Silent Night'??

G- I want chicken on a stick (a drumstick)
T- That is not a very nice way to ask. (something we say to them all the time to help them remember their manners)
G- May I have a chicken on a stick please?
T- Yes you may.
H- Me too!!
T-That is not a very nice way to ask.
H- May I have a chicken on a stick please?
T- Yes you may.

A minute or two later one of the older kids said something about eating a pig.
H (while waving her drumstick)- Eeeewwww! We don't eat animals!!!! That's gross!!!

Riding home from Grammy's, T & I were trying so hard not to laugh as we refereed this one!!
D- I hate Dora
G- No D! Dora is nice, she is my friend!
D- No! I HATE her!!
G (screaming)- NO D!!!! DORA IS GREAT! SHE IS NICE AND SHE IS MY BEST FRIEND!!!!!!
D- Well I still hate her.
G (sobbing)- No she is my friend!!!

I was sitting on the couch feeding M when T popped his head into H&G's room after we put them to bed. G was out of her bed and didn't see him.
T-GET BACK IN YOUR BED!!!!
G- Aaahhh! (running and jumping back into bed)
T (after closing the door and turning to me -stifling a laugh)- I think she might need a new diaper!

We went to cousin C's blessing today. As we were getting ready this morning H was twirling around the living room and this is what I heard:
H- Oh look at my beautiful dress!! Uncle M is going to just Love it!

Then at church she went back and sat with him and wouldn't let any of the other cousins sit with them. It was pretty cute!

We did fireworks with the neighbors a night early. It was a lot of fun, but I just got them to bed!!!

G- Oooooohhh!! THAT WAS A GREAT FIREWORK!!! DID YOU SEE THAT?!?!?!?!?
(after EVERY single one!!!)

H- I like snacks! They are so Magical!

D-Mom, how many days till my birthday?
Me- Please stop asking me that!! Go look at the calendar!
(It may be time to make a paper chain!!!)

M- Waaaaaaahhhhhh!  (She's cranky today!)

G-Mommy, are you going to get dressed?

H- Mom, you are still wearing your pretty butterfly jammies, are you gonna get dressed?
a few hours later
D- Mom, How come you are still wearing your pajamas?
a few hours later
K- Did you know if you just stay in your jammies for a little while longer you won't have to do anything to get ready for bed.
*Nope- I never did get dressed today!*
